Laura Van Duyne

Laura began her consistent yoga practice in 2019 after moving to South Carolina with her family. A longtime runner, she turned to yoga to balance her workouts and move with more intention - and soon found herself coming to her mat more often than her running shoes. While returning to graduate school, she also discovered how profoundly yoga helped her manage stress and stay grounded. She completed her 200-hour yoga instructor certification with Om Yoga in 2024 under the guidance of Rachael Lary and Jackie Dominas, and she is currently pursuing her 300-hour yoga teacher training at Asheville Yoga Center. Laura teaches challenging yet accessible classes that emphasize mindful movement, grounded balance, and sustainable body care. She incorporates dedicated breathwork (pranayama) to deepen presence and regulate the nervous system, and she aims to help students feel empowered with choice, confident in their bodies, and balanced from the inside out. She believes yoga promotes healthy aging with strength, balance, and flexibility - and it helps us cultivate inner peace that extends to others. Off the mat, Laura loves being a wife and mama to her two children (and two dogs), working as a speech therapist, and exploring this beautiful world.
